Photos of Madrid and Copenhagen

Let's start with Madrid, photos of September 2009.

Back in July 2008, Madrid was my very first layover with my current airline.

And now, let's see a bit of Copenhagen, photos of November 2008.

Munich

We usually stay in Freising, a town near Munich Airport and 30 km away from Munich. While being a nice small town, the truth is nothing happens at Freising... So this time I decided to catch the train and visit Munich.

Freising Station

I found Munich to be the most beatufitul city I know in Germany.

Frauenkirche Cathedral

Neues Rathaus

Near Marienplatz, we can find St Peter's Church and climb its tower to have a magnificent view over Munich's skyline and the Alps. There is no lift and the height is equivalent to a thirteen-story building. You get really tired when you finally get up there but it's really worth it!

Marienplatz

On this day (30/03/2010) the city was full of people because there was a Champions League match between Bayern and Manchester United. When I realized it I was hating myself for not having bought a ticket!

And back to (snowy) Freising.

Next day, another early morning and departure to Lisbon...

First layover in Warsaw - Part II

Much of the Old Town district was destroyed during World War II and rebuilt later to its prewar appearence. Here you can find many tourist sights, cafés and restaurants.

The Market Place in the historic center is probably the most famous square in Warsaw:
