Hajj Season: 2007/08

Nautical Miles was the original name of this blog when it was launched in 2007 and intended to become my Hajj journal, before evolving to the current aviation & travel theme.

Working as an airline crew member on a Hajj operation is always a tremendous challenge. Not everyone is prepared for it - especially when the operating conditions are precarious or when you fly to dangerous places. But it is also a tremendous life experience from which you learn a lot about others and about yourself. And if beside that you are an aviation lover and like to see exotic airplanes and mysterious airlines, it is also the perfect opportunity for that. I thought I was doing part of something so unique that it was worth it keeping those days in a written form for future memory. In partnership with my other web project (TriStar500.net Site) that was how this blog was born.
