Strolling around London in decent weather

London, September 2013

As I am always saying, London is my favorite European capital. So let's start to give it a spotlight in this blog! Back in the day, I would take every opportunity I had to go from the Heathrow airport area (where we stay) to the city center.

Regent Street

In Regent Street I stopped to check on the Apple Store. The new iPhones 5s and 5c were just released and the blue 5c was already in my mind to replace my old but yet the most beautiful iPhone ever built, the iPhone 4. I would buy it a couple of months later and that blue 5c would last four years from 2013 to 2017.

Back in Lisbon

So much has changed since this time. The airline got its old name back (TAP Air Portugal) and CS-TNS which was parked side by side (still in the fleet) got a pair of sharklets and changed its name from "D. Afonso Henriques" to "Damião de Góis".

Charter flight to Oujda Angad - Morocco

Airport action, September 2025

This was a summer charter flight to Oujda, in Morocco. A turnaround trip with each leg flown lasting around 1h20 and both flights with a full load of passengers. Aircraft was the Airbus A320-214, tail number CS-TNR, named "Luís de Freitas Branco".

I never visited Oujda but from what I saw in photos, it is pretty much like Marrakech where I stayed in 2017. But whenever I land in a new airport, I like it to be properly logged!

Strolling around Paris in rainy weather

Paris, September 2013

During the flight to Paris I agreed with the chief purser that I would to go with her to the center of the city on this short night stop. Despite the rainy weather we remained resolute on our purpose.

First stop, she wanted to buy a bottle of champagne!

And then, of course, some sightseeing on a city that many seem to love but which is far from being one of my favorites. Sorry, I can't help with that!

Quality of the photos was a bit compromised and dark due to the dull weather. And I was still using an old iPhone 4...

Return flight

Yep, another very early morning flight... Aircraft was the Airbus A319-111, tail number CS-TTN, now retired from the company.
